- The first diesel engine supplied to Ford was a 6.9-liter V8, rated at 170 horsepower and 315 ft.-lb. of torque. This engine was produced from 1982 to 1987 and was followed by a 7.3-liter diesel offered from 1988 to 1993.
New Turbos
- Beginning in 1993, turbo charge technology came to the Power Stroke line. The 7.3-liter engine was overhauled and given an intercooler, fuel injectors and a turbocharger, giving the engine a 250 horsepower rating and producing 505 ft.-lb. of torque. The 2002 Power Stroke equipped F-350 has a 13,500 towing capacity according to MSN Autos.

Auto insurance premiums for high risk drivers through the Texas Automobile Insurance Plan Association (TIAPA) will drop by about 7.6% starting January 1, 2011. This is according to the article “Rates for High Risk Drivers in Texas Falling; Coverage Minimums to Rise” posted on InsuranceJournal.com.
Texas Insurance Commissioner, Mike Geeslin, has ordered overall auto insurance rates to drop for TIAPA personal auto insurance policies in the state. In addition to this, the minimum amounts of motor vehicle liability insurance required by law to establish financial responsibility in Texas will increase starting January 1st.
This is important news for Texas auto insurance carriers as they shop around for coverage. Know

Look for the air line couplers on the tractor and trailer. Two air lines extend from the back of the tractor — one is red and one is blue. Each line has a coupler on the end of it called a glad hand that mates with a corresponding glad hand on the front of the trailer.

Engage the brakes by pulling out the red brake knob on the dashboard of the tractor. The yellow knob next to it should pop out automatically.

According to the article “Auto Claims Customer Satisfaction Still High, But Dips From ‘09? by NU Online News Service on Property-Casualty.com, overall auto insurance claims satisfaction dropped in 2010 because of a decrease in settlement satisfaction based on a study from JD Power & Associates.
JD Power & Associates released its 2010 US Auto Claims Satisfaction Study recently and it shows the number of consumers who filed claims considered their fair dropped in 2010 when compared with the 2009 results.
