A new survey has revealed that some Brits are of the opinion they will be able to holiday to the moon in the near future.
The online travel agent sunshine.co.uk says that out of the 1,926 people questioned, 11 per cent of people believe that holiday trips to the moon will be possible by 2020. In addition, 16 per cent think that in time there could be a rail link similar to the Channel Tunnel built between the UK and the USA.
According to the research, around 22 per cent of respondents expect that by 2020, there could be the existence of space station resorts, while more than half (54 per cent) think that submarine cruises could also take place.
Sunshine.co.uk co-founder Chris Brown said: “It seems that some people just aren’t content with the holidays of today. Some evidently quite like the idea of floating through space, as opposed to lounging by the pool or walking along a sunny beach . It’s interesting to see what some people think will be possible in the near future.”
